Im going to keep this short. Tonight, my parents bought Fallout 4, however they just got home and gave it to me. Now the problem is a few things. 1. Its Midnight 2. It has a one year warrenty (possibly two determining the manufactuers return policy) 3. Its on xbox one.

Now let me say these two thing before anything else. I am very greatful they went and actually bought me the game, and i as much as a freeloader as i am (if being in your teens counts as one) i am looking for a job, just not that hard.

My issue is i really want to play this game but its midnight and im already slightly tired. As well as if i open the game now, i cannot get the lifetime warrenty tomorrow. One more thing being is that i am buying my custom pc next week and the $80 could help, also i wont really plan to play on xbox after i get my pc except for a few senarios.

What do i do??? I really would like to start it but im tired and i will need to wait till around 10am tomorrow to get the better warrenty. Or i could just get $80 more for the build.

Please give some advise.

(notes: they are close in graphics and ive been a console gamer so 30fps might not bug me).

I'd be honest to your parents and tell them you're gonna return it to fund your PC build. but that you are indeed very grateful

Tell them about your wise investment in a PC and how the extra money will help. They'll respect you for your self control.

Tell your parents that you're very grateful that they went out and bought the game for you, but that returning it and using the cash it on a PC would be a better investment in the long term.

disc repairs and if its too damaged, a new disc. Because there is not a new Fallout every year, lifetime warrenty i think would help.

Oh! Right, I... Yeah. Steam has spoiled me.

Ive told them this, one said just play it, the other said they are fine to do the better warrenty thing. But when i say return it they both say they would rather just keep it.

I mean, you're gonna build a PC. So probably play your Xbox A LOT less. So what's the use then?

This is another thing thats right... But very few people come over, its been awhile since that happend.

I think it;d be fine to have an xbox for when friends come over and such. Also it would be a bit rude to return it like that when your parents got something that isn't really cheap.
