First time purchase

So after being signed up to massdrop for months I finally bought something...

The price is very good considering this product competes against some high end $600-1200 controllers

I ordered mine to be shipped to my relatives in the US so i dont have to pay the additional shipping and import taxes to canada :D

 

 

I made friends with a group of DJs at my uni and that inspired me to try it out :)

Right now I'm just using the software on my laptop, and for $250 having this piece of hardware will be much more intuitive for learning

Anyone else here into DJing?

Even if you arent a DJ, what was the first thing you purchased on massdrop?

I haven't purchased anything on Massdrop yet because I haven't felt very compelled by anything and I don't feel like the deals are always that great- I wish they had a larger selection of deals, maybe then it would be better.

some of the stuff has a higher msrp than what is set by the manufacturer so that the same is actually less % off than it seems

at least thats what i noticed with the traxxas cars

well i mean you can use itunes music library for this...its a digital controller

I feel like its mostly just stuff I don't need and is mostly novelty things. Like who wants potato keycaps for real? The single thing I want is hd668b headphones and they're gonna take a while to get votes.

When I was younger at school they just played it on youtube and put a mic up to laptop speakers rip audiophiles everywhere

Back when i was at school, they used to use Windows Media Player. :/

 

They didn't even have the decency to use Winamp...
