My friends is looking for a decent $1000 "gaming" laptop(with a gpu)  with a mouse pad with 2 discrete buttons (not like the apple crap mouse pads)

Kind of like this:

dell-latitude-e7240-g21.jpg

The only laptop that I could that had a normal mouse pad had one of those keyboards with a huge enter key

He can't really put a finger on one, so any help would be helpful

edit: i forgot to mention that he would like an ssd(probably something like 128gb). He is sick of his 5400rpm hard drive

look at MSI options they are high quality and are cheaper than even mainstream laptops sometimes with better specs

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

How long have you had it? I read some horror stories about the Touch hinge and was wondering if the IPS revision fixes that.

You can get the base model. Though it does not come with an SSD, you can always add one down the line, and it supports M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs.

I have had it for a few months and have not had issues with it. I have not heard of this before.

Likely fixed with the IPS/4710HQ update. That's my only gripe with Lenovo - they have about 20 versions of the Y50
