Ok, so I have a HP Workstation xw6200, I was installing Windows 8 on the fourth partition. The first partition had xp and it booted fine the second partition had vista and it booted fine, the third had 7 and it boots fine. Last Friday I was installing Windows 8 on the fourth partition and I ran out of time at school, this is all work is being done at school. Someone shut down the computer while it was installing. When I came back the following Monday I turned on the computer and it came up with the select OS menu and I click Windows 8, it then shown the Windows 8 logo with the spinning balls thingy then pops up saying there was a error installing and needs to be reinstalled. I put the cd in and it took about half an hour to even start loading from the disc then it randomly show orange lines then freezes, so I reset the bios that did nothing, i put the Hard drive in a different pc and deleted the 8 partition and remade it. Now the system it's a non system disc, I can't get to any of the 3 other os's that are on it

Did you make the hard drive gpt instead of mbr with the other OSes on them?

I believe it's mbr, it's also ridiculously slow getting to the bios, before it started saying it was a non system disk it took 30min to load Windows 7

Boot into safe mode on an OS that works and run some tests on the disk to see if anything is formatted wrong or partitioned wrong.

Boot into safe mode on an OS that works and run some tests on the disk to see if anything is formatted wrong or partitioned wrong.

Is this a server? Also did you try to install a 64 bit on a 32 bit machine?

its a workstation, all 4 operating systems are 32 bit

Boot into safe mode on an OS that works and run some tests on the disk to see if anything is formatted wrong or partitioned wrong.

i checked the drive, there is no issues the drive
