They can only be claimed by the person it has been sent too. Sadly you cant share them anymore

Does this mean the codes for sale on Ebay won’t work?

 

I want to buy one for my Mother for Christmas by buying the invite from there.

I think so. I had 2 OPX invites and gave them away, both people couldn't claim it because there was a popup saying it could only be claimed by the email-adres it was sent to.
