Hey guys, my PSU stared buzzing yesterday. Sounds like white noise, from my experience, sounds quite like a fan noise. I have to admit I did use my PC more than usual in the past two weeks, it was on for like 18h daily. Not sure if that matters but it might. My PC was turned off over night, and in the morning when i turned it back on it wasn't buzzing at first but then it started again. I use Corsair CX500 and it is two years old, also I live in another country now so I can't RMA but I can buy a new one. I personally do not mind the buzzing noise if it doesn't do any damage to my PC because I use a headset but I don't know how dangerous can it be and should I just replace it?

My 500W is sufficient for my rig because I haven't changed or add anything in the past two years, and when I was buying it it was enough (with a little bit extra just in case).

I don't know if I should post some more info on it, at the moment this is all I can think of, if you need some more info in order to give me advice, please say so. Thanks a lot in advance!

It sounds like the PSU is dying, the CX series is for very basic builds, so its probably time for an updgrade ..... minimum look at the CS series but I would go with an EVGA G2 perhaps.

i5 4670k @4.2ghz / MSI Z87 G45 / EVGA GTX 960 SSC / Samsung  840 EVo SSD / WD Green 1tb HDD / Corsair H75 / Corsair Obsidian 750D / Corsair CS750M

Ugh, sh*t :D I guess I was a bit reckless when building my PC. I was on a budget so I had to prioritize my components, looks like it was wrong. Thanks a lot guys, I will look into some other PSUs then and do a better reasearch this time.
