Tempted to buy myself 2 Dell ultrasharp monitors having them side by side, does anyone know of any cheap T.v / freeview cards for PC?, Pci-e preferred.

Ye you can just buy one and then use windows media centre and that will allow you to watch freeview.

Ye you can just buy one and then use windows media centre and that will allow you to watch freeview. 

Yea, was going to give my T.v to my father as I never use it and just dual monitor with freeview in the nights when I feel like it.

if your looking for freeview I assume you're from the UK if so this one is the only PCI-E one I could find

Download and install XBMC. Then cream yourself over the amount of TV add-ons available :P No card needed, uses tinterweb.

ye do that pci-e cards for computers are quite cheap.

why are you thinking of buying a tv card when you could just use http://tvcatchup.com/ as long as you have a tv license its legal to use.

I was not aware of this as I rarely watch t.v nowadays. :A

depend on your country's standards

 

I have a DVB-T Avermedia Twinstar a1880d (dual tuner)

 

works great here.  I use mediaportal (3rd party htpc software) www.team-mediaportal.com

GamingPC: Intel 4770k CPU, 2xMSI 780 GTX Twin Frozr, 16 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro, Swiftech H220 CPU Cooler.
