This is a thread where people can share their worst experiences with their carrier (it can be any from around the world)

My rant/story (brace yourself)

On July 8th, i want to an EE store with my mum to upgrade her phone. To my surprise and shock, EE told me I HAD to upgrade otherwise they would end my contract. So i look though their list of phones, and most are crap, so i choose the M4 Aqua, which was the best specced for my price point. 2 days later, i start having heating issues, and i check on reviews, and others have had the same issue. Go back to the store to ask if i can switch phones and they refuse, giving me a like for like. Second handset is even worse, and nearly burns me when it reaches 81 celicus internally during a free period in the school library. Call EE up, idiot irishman says that i have to send in phone 2 MORE TIMES before they can switch it out. Call up sony, and they say EE has done everything, and they should switch out my phone. EE deny and i am still stuck with this health hazard of a phone.

Thus i have convinced my mum ti leave EE after being with T-mobile for 18 years due to the stupid customer service and pricing (and the fact that she can get a Z5 Compact on O2 for £18 a month).

I am done with EE, and i want to punch the guy who forced me to get the phone and shove the phone down his throat.

I HATE EE

(UK folk, O2, Three and GiffGaff are the best, dont go on EE)

Please share your story/rant

Which one? The stupid Irishman on the phone was called Daniel, and the guy who forced me to upgrade in the store was called Connor

Who is this "EE" guy?

I heard he operates like 4chan

It's a phone network company in the UK (Similar thing to AT&T/Verizon in the US)

EDIT: I haven't had any complaints with 3, I even somehow got 21mbps down at school on 3g @Castdeath97

Using Three here, I have no complaints on the data speed, although it's my first experience with 4G.

Basically like AT&T in the US< AT&T has biggest network, but bad customer service like EE

My dad has unlimited everything and 12GB tethering with his Galaxy S5. He uses 50GB per month and loves it

I wish I can get speeds like this, I'm usually around 5-15Mbps but I can deal with it since it's quite good deal. (Though I haven't carried a speed test since a long time, it gives me 10 mbps now).

Maybe because 4G speeds are better in my country, I usually get speeds around 15-50 home.

My first time on Three has to be the worst experience I have had with a mobile carrier. I bought a 1 month sim only deal and all was well for the first month. Then about 35 days after the start I loose the ability to text, I just can't send any texts at all. I ring them up and report the fault but they aren't all that helpful and they go away to look into it but they are blaming my non three phone (which was sending texts just fine the day before). A week goes by and I chase them a few times and then I loose the ability to make phone calls and receive them. I ring them from a desk phone and explain the problem and while on with them I loose data as well. They are all the time telling me there is nothing wrong on their side and it must be my phone. I switch in someone elses sim and my phone works, put the three sim in and nothing. I switched providers, they were unable to technically assist in fixing the problem.

Wow. What year were you with Three. They are the youngest network in the UK remember, and now they are outstanding compared to the competition (cough, EE, cough)

Was 2009 I think. I went to O2, then virgin and am back on Three again now.  I can't say I have been impressed with any of them in terms of technical support, O2 had image compression issues they refused to do anything about, Virgin media after years with them I lost the ability to receive calls from EE and they were unwilling to fix it and so I moved again. Honestly if the support wasn't so bad on all these providers I would have probably stuck with the deals I had for a decade or something, I buy my phones outright and then go where the data speed and bandwidth (always unlimited and tethered is what I need) is best. But everytime something goes technically wrong and they just plain can't fix it and I end up moving somewhere else to get a working phone again and round and round I go.
