Is it any good compared to an i5?

Which i5 version? That Xeon is 6 years old.

i5 4440

The i5 would be better. Since the Xeon is ony 2 cores and old.

You could list it in classifieds if you don't want to use. If I had another compatible 771 to 775 mod motherboard, I'd want to buy it.
