I'm building a computer for my brother but im concerned that the case i'm planning on getting the Cooler Master Elite 311 which only has 1 exhaust fan. Will 1 fan be enough for an internal exhaust? I already watched Linus's video on this but it doesn't really help me in my case. The graphics card is a MSI R9 380

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 1866MHz

Can you post the exact specific model of MSI R9 380 you intend on buying? If it's this one:

MSI R9 380 4G:

With the dual fans, then you should be fine.

Generally, however, you want to avoid Reference Coolers - regardless of who makes it (AMD, NVIDIA, etc). AIB Non-reference coolers are almost universally always superior to reference coolers.

A reference cooler would be more ideal in that situation, since it'll be sucking the air which comes in via the front, and throws hot air out the arse of the case.

Reference 380 doesn't exist though a non-reference one will be fine - 380 is not a hot card at all

i would say in this case a reference cooler because it will help push more air out  and keep it away from your cpu

@TheiBurger I would see if you can afford to buy a second fan, and make sure that one fan is in the back (exhaust) and one fan is in the front (intake). Either way, I would still avoid reference blower style coolers. The Cooler Master Elite 311 isn't a small case. With two fans, you'll get enough airflow that having a dual-fan GPU Cooler will be way better than a blower style cooler.

Blower coolers are much less efficient (Even if they exhaust out the back rather than inside the case), and they are much louder.

I added a front intake fan that should be sufficient right? And i'm trying to avoid blower coolers too since my last pc had one and it made me go crazy. Thanks everyone!

As long as you have one Intake and one Exhaust, yes, that should be totally sufficient. Blower style cards are some of the most annoying things in existence! :P
