Hey all,

So my father just inherited 400,000 Air Miles from a family member that expire at the end of 2016.  We're trying to spend as many as we can, and we already planned a trip to Hawaii and Italy and that still didn't cover even a third of the points.

Anyways, I was looking at the electronics section of the store they have and they have this pc available.  I wanted to know if I should get it, and if I should switch any parts from my current PC (specs in signature) over from the new one.

Here's the new PC specs:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 Home
  • Processor: 6th generation Intel® Core™ i7-6700 processor  Quad-Core 3.40GHz 8MB Cache
  • Memory: 8GB PC3-12800 DDR3L-1600 SDRAM memory 1x8GB(expandable to 16GB unbuffered with 8GB DIMMs)
  • Hard Drive: 1TB 7200RPM Serial ATA hard drive
  • Optical Drive(s): Ultra Slim Tray SuperMulti DVD Burner
  • Video Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 745 graphics card with 4GB DDR3 dedicated memory Up to 4178MB Total Available Graphics Memory as allocated by Windows 10
  • Network Interface: 10/100/1000 Base-T Network
  • Wireless Connectivity: Integrated Bluetooth® 4.0 and Wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac featuring Dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 1x1 technology
  • Sound: High Definition Audio with up to 5.1 surround sound capabilities; Bang & Olufsen
  • Memory Card Reader: HP 7-in-1 Media Card Reader
  • External Ports: Headphone/Microphone Combo, Top I/O: 2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, Rear: 2 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0, 2 HDMI Out

Should I switch some things?    :)

Does air miles (free plane tickets?) = Money?

go overkill with that much money lol 980ti tri sli

No, it's reward points that you can either buy off the store online or buy plane tickets with the points you earned.

it would be good if they didn't let it down so much in the GPU department.

so that's 10,000 and you theoretically have 400,000 to spend?

Granted, however is it better than my GTX 660?
