You don't have to do any of that to dub over something, its why things like abridged channels on youtube can exist

Look closer - LK says that he owns nothing in the beginning of EVERY abridged episode he makes (YGOTAS, NAP, etc) - you have to properly disclose that you are not the original author, that the person in the video is not you and that you own no rights to the content else it's basically stealing.

Quite a few videos of gaming critics and/or abridged shows taken down because of improper disclosure? Why do you think TB constantly pushes disclosure?

They get taken down for copyright infringement, even videos where TFS disclosed have been taken down. They always get put back up due to them being wrongfully taken down.

? Those are two different types of disclosure. One is to credit a work to the proper creator and the other is to acknowledge a possible conflict of interest.

 

Linus probably doesn't give a damn about a random video dubbing over him.
