GTX 970

Thenethernerd

Hello,

so I have decided that I want to purchase a 970 for my computer, but after searching the internet for options, I realized there are many different versions and brands. I don't exactly have a budget, but smaller is always better I guess. Which version should I go for?

Well, don't buy the 970. Buy a 390.

If you still want the 970, then buy an EVGA version for good performance and price.

Why should I go for the 390 instead of the 970?

its faster and has more vram

I like the MSI Twin Frozr 970, but MSI also makes a Twin Frozr 390 so if you like that style a 390 would be better option,  a bit more bang for your buck

If you are going to buy a 970 (like you are 100% sure) then I would go with the Gigabyte or MSI cooled cards.  I have the MSI one and a friend of mine has the Gigabyte and he really likes his and gets great performance.

Its a bit more though isn't it?

300 dollars for an MSI R9 390 and 279.99 after Mail in Rebate
