Did I make a mistake

So the tickets to new York from Manchester (England) say departure 27th 10:55 arrive 27th 13:46. Did I make a mistake because that seems like too short a flight considering the distance. If it meant 10pm wouldn't it say 22:46?

Have you accounted for local time? you are going the direction the sun travels (not really, but you get the point), so you will "follow the day" making the arrival time pretty close to the departure time.

Time difference? 13:46 EST is around 18:46 GMT. So it would be about an 8 hour flight.

You're going from GMT-6(or some thing around that) to GMT, I don't see a problem.

It says all flights are shown in local time so I guess 13:46 is local time EST not GMT
