Well, I used to do Boinc, but not anymore.

Why? you may ask.

There're actually two reasons. The research I want to do in Boinc doesn't support GPU and IMO Folding is WAAAY simpler.

BTW, how long is GPU waiting for idle?

Also, how long does it take to add me to the LTT team?

P.S.: I would like to add another GPU (because I have one) but I only have one functional PCIe slot. :(

Atm you can only fold with gpu at full. medium/light use only cpu to fold.

idle is when the screensaver comes on doesn't have to be the F@H one but that then indicates to the F@H clinent that the PC "isn't doing anything" so to speak

It only takes around 5min to join the ltt team if your a noob so it should go pretty fast :)

Depending on gear and psu and such, yep - your power bill will go up some.

 

Review the FAQ for various details.

 

Medium is where it should be. GPU will then fold when system goes idle, that being when you screen saver comes on. Enable it for a timeout of like 5 minutes and also make sure you disable power saving and sleep and such...

 

To show up on the stats, you need to complete a WU and then within about 24hrs you should appear.
