the 980 ti may be a bit of an overkill for 1080p gaming but i do know that i can use the DSR though.

i am also worried that i might spend way too much on the graphic card but i did chose the 980 Ti so that i can use it for like 2 years.

What refresh rate is your display? 60Hz at 1080p with a 980 Ti indeed might be overkill.

The 980Ti is a very capable card and will probably last a long time :) I see no reason to doubt :)

The 980 Ti isn't overkill if you can afford it and have a high refresh rate monitor. It's the smartest buy you can currently make for a high-end graphics card.

check your psu if it has right cables you need. When I replaced my 970 with a 980ti, I had some doubts, it soon went away.

i am going to get the seasonic x650w for the 980 ti hahaha :D my current gpu is the HD7770 lol

yeah, i am playing it at 60Hz, basically, i am aiming for ultra or should i say, graphics settings to the max! :D

i am glad to hear that. i just need to upgrade my mobo and cpu next year :D

I think it's overkill for 1080p. But you'll get good fps using DSR.

If you're using a 1080p 60Hz monitor, it's pretty overkill. GTX 980 TI is better suited for 1080p 144Hz or 1440p 60Hz.

I, myself, have recently purchased a 144Hz monitor and my GTX 970 just wasn't able to take advantage of the higher refresh rate, so I purchased a GTX 980 TI. All is good now :)
