Ahhhhhhhh, so lost right now. [F@H]

Hi all, another folding newbie here, I'll try to make it brief.

 

Long story short:

 

  • Downloaded the v7 F@H client
  • Got my CPU folding (well, ~8000 PPD)
  • Added my GPU as well
  •    GPU is ready, requests work unit
  •    Downloads work unit nicely...
  •    ...and then starts spewing errors, like "ERROR:Win32: 0xc0000005: Exception access violation" or sometimes even "ERROR:WU01:FS00:Exception: Transfer failed"
  •    GPU is ready, requests work unit

So yeah, just downloading work unit after work unit, not getting going at all.

GPU finally "failed".

OK, so looks like you got a bad Work Unit - need to delete it. In the folding windows CPU will be like 00 and GPU be like 01 (or vice versa). Make note one the GPU one. Stop (quit) folding.

 

Start -> FAH -> Data Directory - in here you will see a Work directory. In there you will see a 00, a 01, etc. Delete the one that corresponds to your GPU.

 

Start folding. Should try and get a whole new WU.
