I get 300kb/s at home like 20/6 so yeah get rekt.

I saturate my mechanical storage drive using multiple gigabit nics on my campus Internet I'm in the networking area during burst speeds. 

Campus internet is generally great. 

Yeah I work in the networking department on my campus aswell lel.

School Internet is 7x faster than at home thanks to a fiber optic connection. The local server is crappy, though.

Yea I can see that wow. I get like 12-13mb/s speeds in steam if I'm lucky.

If your actual upload and download speeds are higher you might wanna try changing what server you use in steam. I'm in Texas so I changed from the Dallas/Houston servers to the new york server and I moved from 10-20mb/s to 40-50mb/s

Oh, yeah speed test isn't the same as steam... Like if  I got the speeds speedtest shows on steam I would be done in like an hour. It shows 160mb/s down and 636mb/s up.

I would just be downloading my steam library and playing league/streaming... Probably never go outside again...

It's called "actual competition, no locally enforced monopolies and the need for the ISPs to actually improve their services in order to retain customers".

It's one of ~6 high quality ISPs I have avaiable right now where I live - in the city, somewhere in the middle of Central Europe.

 

And yeah, best part is - apart for situations like this one, I don't even use it. I don't download stuff, I don't stream 4k content (Netflix doesn't like us, ha!), I barely use the bandwidth at all. I got it only because it was an upgrade (from vDSL to fibre optic, which meant that it became rock stable) and I didn't have to pay a dime more than the usual ~$20 I paid every month. It's simply nice to have. I could share it with you, or with anyone else - but I seriously doubt any of you would like to move here, despite having such nice connection speeds. :P
