Fallout 4 unexpected encounter(spoilers)

So I'm doing the troubled waters quest and as i leave the water treatment plant a

ship flies over me and crashes a bit away from where I am. So I go over to check it out and I find this.

You can't interact with the ship but there was a blood trail that led into a nearby cave, as soon as I entered though the Survivor of the crash jumped me and lost his head.

The only thing he had on him was a pretty baller looking pistol and a few hundred rounds of ammo for it.

It only has a few mods but the one that matters is the one that converts it to run off of fusion cells rather than it's normal ammo.

I know that this is almost certainly common knowledge by now but I thought I would share regardless.
