Make sure you factor in the cost of CPU AND motherboard... and possibly RAM

Very shortly: Uninstall old drivers. Buy a new mobo and CPU. Screw them in where the old ones are. Install new drivers. Profit.

I currently have a prebuilt from micro center. http://www.microcenter.com/product/434939/G311_Desktop_Computer I was wondering how I should go about upgrading the cpu, and the i7s caught my attention, so, what should i do?

i5 6600k + Z10 motherboard, new GPU, new PSU maybe?
