So I pre-ordered Fallout 4, and it's supposed to come out tomorrow. However, Steam says I can play it already. Should I do it? I don't know if I'd be risking my acct shut down, as I've heard instances of it on some websites.

If they tell you, that you can play the game then why would they ban you for that? That would be stupid.

I keep trying to open it, but it only shows the Bethesda screen for a few seconds, until the game crashes. Every time I open it, it does this. I'm using a TRI-X R9 290. Any Ideas why this is happening?

if that doesnt work, update graphics drivers?

No, I have a very strange issue with my graphics drivers. I can't update them otherwise I'll have to reinstall windows.

Thanks.

Day 1 patches have become quite the norm now, so always check for one. I know there is definitely one for the PS4 version, so I don't see why there possibly wouldn't be one for the PC version. Lol.

Why not? Something must be wrong then, with your drivers that is.

It's because of my stupid 290 with awful tech support, the bios is corrupt and the only driver that works is 13.4

Have you rebooted your system since installing the game/day 1 update? Don't know yet if it matters on the PC, but on the PS4 you have to restart the system after installing the update to get the game to work correctly.

I would then completely uninstall the driver using that driver uninstall program (AMD has their own clean install utility) and reinstall it. If that doesn't solve the issue then try reverting back to a previous version.

Flash the stock BIOS back to the card and then flash any updates. If you do it properly then it shouldn't have any issues. I had to flash a BIOS update to my Sapphire R9 280 OC Edition to get it to work correctly.
