6700k vs 5820k

Depends. The 5820k is more powerful overall, the 6700k is faster in single-threaded tasks.

6700K for gaming 5820K for things that will actively use the extra cores/threads

5820k is cheaper than 6700k in a lot of places. 6700k overclocks well, but the 5820k can easily hit 4.5ghz and at that point gaming performance is basically the same and dx12 might be able to use the extra cores. Not to mention that the 6700k is marginally better than the 4790k while the 5820k is a higher end cpu overall. Go 5820k if you want high end. 6700k if you want a standard gaming build.

No the 5820K in the US from most places is 50$ more

Generally, the 5820k is better. It's more powerful, often doesn't even cost more and overclocks by over 1ghz easily.

Question is if you want 290 fps and way more multi tasking power or 300 fps and less multi tasking power.

lmao all I do is play games and watch youtube on my pc and some emulators :P
