Hey guys,

When amd freesync first came out, it was using the v-blank spec on laptops to achieve adaptive refresh rates.

Since this spec is available on laptops with nvidia optimus (where the gpu is connected to the igpu when then goes to the monitor), why is gsync only on laptops without optimus/ desktop replacements.

I tried doing research on it, but the only thing that came up was that incident that happened on early 2015 where a leaked driver allowed users of a certain asus laptop to have gsync capabilities.
