Good Case For Watercooling?

Go to solution Solved by Curufinwe_wins,

Yea just my humble opinion but the define s is the best watercooling midtower on the market.

The mastercase pro 5 is much bigger but offers similar compatibility.

So I'm Making A New Build And I'm Going To Do SLI 980's Watercooled Using Either The NZXT G10 Bracket Or The Corsair HG10 N980 Bracket And I'm Wondering Whats A Good Case For 2 Maybe 3 120/140 Radiators For Watercooling The GPU's, It Needs To Be ATX And Have Room For Upgrades In The Future.

It Needs To Be Able To Bought In NZ From Either,

Cases I've Already Seen:

  • Fractal Design Define R4
  • Fractal Design Define R5
  • Fractal Design Define S
  • Corsair Obsidian 750D
  • Corsair Obsidian 900D
  • be quiet! Silent Base 800
  • Phanteks Enthoo Series

I'd scratch the Silent Base 800 and Obsidian cases off the list.  Unfortunately without some modding the Silent Base 800 only supports a single 120/140 rad in the front, which is a bit of a bummer if you're watercooling and is what has stopped me from considering it for my next build.  Also depending on your preferences, the obsidian cases look rather rubbish with optical drives unless you want to do the stealth mod.  (speaking from experience with my 450D, whilst the stealth ODD mod is possible, it's a real pain to do and depending on your ODD and adhesive results vary).

In terms of water cooling support, the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe and Primo are probably your best bets.  If you don't like the LEDs you can always disconnect them or turn them off.  I wish they had a smaller version of the Primo with the ODD bay cover because that looks a lot more sleek than the exposed bays of the Luxe....  Maybe the Cooler Master MasterCase 5 might be an option or the Fractal Define S?

I Could Use The Top And The Front In The Silent Base 800 As The CPU Is Air Cooled, The 750D/900D Is Great For Watercooling, Its A Fan Controller Not CD Reader, I Am Going To Look At The Enthoo Series For It, And The Mastercase 5/Define S Will Be A Good Option.

Can You Please Use A Banana Width For Scale?

I almost sure of the fact that they can be disabled :P

Yes They Can, But I'm Going To Use LED's With A Remote So I Don't Want To Rip The LEDs And Button Out And Void My Warranty.

yeah... the mastercase has so much room for activities!

So I've Got Two Different Options (In My Opinion Of Looks, & Functionality) The Cooler Master PCMasterRace Master Case And The be quiet! Silent Base 800.

The Master Case And The Silent Base 800 Have Roughly The Same Looks And Functionality, I Do Want This To Be Near Quiet So The Silent Base 800 Would Be A Good Choice, The Master Case Could Be Plastidipped To Look Like The Silent Base 800, But Other Than That I'm Only Using One Radiator In It For The GPU Since The CPU Is Air Cooled.
