Which GPU for 4k

If you are okay with turning down settings, and maybe throwing another card  in later, get the GTX 980Ti. Otherwise, CF R9 390's ftw. Get the Sapphire models.

bot will do fine, but since the 980 Ti is available I'd get that as it's easier to expand on.

Aftermarket 980Ti >= Fury X >= Reference 980Ti > Fury > 980 > 390X > 390 >= 970 > 380X > 380 >= 960 > 950 >= 370 > 750Ti = 360

Consider an R9 Fury or Fury X.

 

From what I've seen, that card appears to be more of a 4K card than most of the NVIDIA lineup. The NVIDIA lineup may have the edge in terms of raw power, but what AMD have is really bloody fast memory, allowing it to keep pace.

Galax has a thing for a 980ti HOF edition (OC'd w/ custom cooling) with 240gb ssd for 700 in case you're convinced on the ti by now

 

I'm assuming that's not reference...

I do custom water cooling, is there a full-cover water block that fits that card?
