Is PhysX still even a thing? Nvidia should just drop that proprietary garbage, everyone stopped caring years ago.

You're supposed to leave it on auto-select. Don't mess with it.

Even if his GPU isn't powerful enough to run PhysX effects, what makes you think that his CPU will?

an i7 ? i did this because HWBot told that PhysX needs to be on CPU, sorry if that was wrong for gaming

PhysX effects in games will run bad on CPUs.

so i should just leave it on auto not GPU or CPU ?

Pretty much, just don't expect good physx performance. Physx runs poorly on cpus, and your gpu isn't powerful enough to run it and decent graphics settings at the same time.

Spas has a 960. It won't be horrible, depending on the game. It certainly won't be as bad as running it on the CPU.

Gpus should only be used for physx (exclusively) if you have three or more graphics cards (as sli scaling in 3 way and 4 way is so poor it is better to make one of them dedicated physx)

Furthermore you should just let the nvidia control panel decide either way because it does a good job with single gpu setups.
