I was wondering, wouldn't this aerate (Like put air into your water) your water and decrease your cooling with the addition of air bubbles in your loop?

It should be fine as long as the "waterfall" isnt too vigorous. Sort of like turning down to tap when filling your waterbottle to not get air into it.

Depends how close the end of the waterfall is to the pool at the bottom, if it's close enough it wouldn't create bubbles (same in fish tanks with their filters and such)
