Which key is positioned above the other?

 

Do you see the i key above the k key? If not then swap them.

no repairs,although i did clean it using a baby wipe.

Here is the basic breakdown. You are editing a registry key.

 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]

"Scancode Map"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,00,00,45,00,00,00,00,00

Change i from what it is now to the appropriate thing.
