Germany and Japans amazing recovery

German lucky to be alive today because of USA and Soviet Union USSR help German rebuilt their country after WW2. Although, i will give full credit to USA because we donate German hundred millions of dollars, medical, and supplies. While Soviet Union USSR didn't help that much but focus on another war which is Afganistan.

The reason they are such huge manufacturing giants is because they are/were almost purely capitalist.

As for the reason they rebuilt so fast, is mainly because they had alot of help from the US and other now NATO countries, as well as a fresh slate to build a modernized society on.

Kinda like building a new PC rather than trying to upgrade a 1995 crapbox.

you do realise that you can have a free market in socialism right? And that it took a long time for Japanese and to a lesser extent German companies to become successful and completely independent from the government

The fact that the US helped rebuild Japan to the extent they did is one of the main reasons the Japanese actually like the US overall, despite defeating and nuking them. The continued trade and military backing also increases this liking.

If we were so worried about the USSR, we would have dropped the bomb on Stalin, as well as making Patton Supreme Allied Commander instead of that pussy Eisenhower. We'd have turned the Germans and Japanese right around and conquered the USSR, and skipped the entire cold war.

The allies did not win WW2, the USSR DID.

I never heard about that. All I know is that Patton wanted to go after the soviet union because he knew they would just be another enemy after the war, and he was right.

it was basically just a plan to either weaking the ussr or kill them but there was no way it would have succeeded no matter how many bombs they used, they were too out numbered to have even a little chance
