Can i disable cortana from using bing when it's searching something? ? and use the normal google instead?

No you can't. MS forces you to use Cortana with Bing.

That being said. Bing is actually awesome IMHO.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I don't care. I really don't. Bing is awesome in my use case. It might not be for his but that's not my problem.

Yep, Bing is just awfull, I have no idea how that is the case still.

Google has been nice for but after billions of dollars of development costs

bing still goes derp if i make a spelling error or search for something that is not extremelly popular.

Just use chrometana, its nice.

Microsoft is obviously pushing its services in its own operating system, calm down and and disable Cortana if you think "Bing sucks". You can't really complain..good luck though

Why would she turn it off??

I honestly don't use Cortana simply because of Bing and the privacy concerns that surround it. But you can't complain if the company wants to push their services to the users. I'd just be like if Google pushed Google Now onto Chrome-books and made you use the Google search engine (no one would complain though); that's what Microsoft is doing with Bing. They're trying to give recognition to their services (Bing finally yielded profit this year) - due to Windows 10.

Cortana cannot use Google.

Cortana's search function is based on Bing.

Bing doesn't suck. I have used both and have had better searches on both Google and Bing. It depend on your search really.

I use them about 55/45 Google/Bing.

Open Task Manager and have it show More details. Right click on Cortana and select Open file location. Now find the Cortana folder, right click it, and select Rename. I would recommend just adding ".bak" to the end of the folder name so you can find it easily if you want to restore it back to it's original status. If you attempt to rename, it will tell you that the folder is in use. This is when you want to go back to Task Manager, right click on Cortana, and select End task. Right after the task ends, switch back to the Folder In Use window and click Try Again. The folder should be renamed and the Cortana task will not start again.
