Friend downloaded lots of "stuff"

My idiot friend downloaded a bunch of nasty stuff onto his computer and is worried his parents are going to find out about it. 

 

So I told him I'd post for him on the LTT Forums, and he laughed at me. But anyway lets get back onto topic. 

 

 

There is about 400+ files which he claims he downloaded by "accident" off of skype. He can't find the files and he uses windows 10, and I'm not sure how finding files on that OS would work because I've never used or seen it before. 

 

Any of you guys think you could tell him how he could find the files so he could remove them? 

 

He won't thank you but I will.

If your friend is treating you like that I don't think he deserves your help.

 

Going back to your question though - if he remembers even a fragment of any of the names of the files he downloaded, get him to search his C:\ for them and sort the results by date modified and you should be able to find the directory.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

He probably called you a bunch of stuff, because he's stressed.  I'd suggest going in to the search bar in Windows 10 and type in the date he downloaded everything.  Then every file updated, created, downloaded, and edited will appear before his eyes like the porn did the first time he downloaded it.

No problem!  It works for me every time, and no I'm not downloading porn.  I use it to find files I've downloaded every day.

When he types in the day it should being this format all numerical except for the slash

month/day/year 

Example: 11/4/15

You would be surprised, I get about 1-2 invites from people named 'rainbowskirt131' or something similar like that. I just delete and mark block sender.

 

I am sure he has accepted all kinds of those. Lol.
