First of all price doesn't matter to me i just want to know what the keyboards are like compared to each other. I don't want some razer fanboy or corsair as well coming in chatting shit, I just want a honest opinion on which has better quality overall including a brief overview comparing build quality switches etc. Just for extra info i woukd be getting the mx blues on the k70 and the green khail switch for the razer. Many thanks, Lewis. [emoji3]

K70.

As someone who had a Blackwidow with Cherry and Kahil switches the Blackwidow is pretty bad in terms of quality, and design.

I can't recommend or say anything about Razer other than their quality is sub par. Your paying the person who designed it. Not the person in charge of making it work for more than 2 years.

K70 hands down.

EDIT: further explanation.

Blackwidow, bith versions have keys that rotate a little on the switch and uses the lower quality wire support system for its long keys. The USB and 3.5mm jacks are literally in the worst spot possible. Making it a huge design flaw which really makes you question the person who made that decision.

K70:

Has a metal plate, 100% aluminum front with a plastic back holding the internals to it. I've opened up the keyboard and everything looks liie it was of quality, solder points were nicely done and the plastic used was nice and sturdy.it also has media controls and a volume wheel as well. Which is great.

In the context of the RGB keyboards:

Razer - smoother lighting effects with more colors, however the switches feel less consistent all around
Corsair - more jarring/rough light effects with less color, however the switches feel more consistent due to better build tolerances (dat German build quality versus Chinese ripoff)

Generally, I'd recommend Corsair over Razer through experience and opinion. The Corsair keyboards are far better built, while the Razer keyboards only hold lighting as the real advantage.

Get the K70 because I have one and I can tell you that the construction is really solid and the colours are really good. CUE software has been improved dramatically since the launch of the K70 and plus the K70 gives you Cherry switches not the bad Razer switches

K70. No doubt about it. Razer is just.... eh. Corsair has a better quality product and better switches, Razer uses cheap ones.

k70 easier to clean if that is important to you.  I used a razer blackwidow for years and while it held up well I had issues with caps randomly falling off and switches sticking.  Have been using a strafe with silent red switches for a while now, it took some getting used to for lack of click/ bump but it really is much better.  Back to the cleaning the razer was a nightmare to clean would have to remove all the key caps.
