Will this PC work

Go to solution Solved by Itz_Vision,

 .

Work? Yes. Don't see any reason for it not to.

Would I recommend spending that much on that particular build? Not really.

well I came up with this, the 850W PSU is so you can add in another GPU if you want more performance later (it's also a lot smaller):

Motherboard: MSI B150M MORTAR Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($149.00 @ CPL Online)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($139.00 @ Centre Com)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card  ($355.00 @ CPL Online)
Headphones: Kingston HyperX Cloud II 7.1 Channel Headset  ($119.00 @ CPL Online)
Total: $1499.00

No rebate's included in price either (they're a trap).

Aftermarket 980Ti >= Fury X >= Reference 980Ti > Fury > 980 > 390X > 390 >= 970 380X > 380 >= 960 > 950 >= 370 > 750Ti = 360

"The Orange Box" || CPU: i5 4690k || RAM: Kingston Hyper X Fury 16GB || Case: Aerocool DS200 (Orange) || Cooler: Cryorig R1 Ultimate || Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB + WD Black 1TB || PSU: Corsair RM750 || Mobo: ASUS Z97-A || GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW+

"Unnamed Form Factor Switch" || CPU: i7 6700K || RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB || Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Mini ITX (White) || Cooler: Cryorig R1 Ultimate (Green Cover) || Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 1TB || PSU: XFX XTR 550W || Mobo: ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming || GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW+

Your RAM costs as much as the CPU and nearly as much as the GPU. That is so wrong.

@Itz_Vision

I am going to say it:  You are not ready to select the parts for a PC.  I know that is why you came here.  I want you to understand if you went a picked parts today, those parts would be selected poorly.

Take you time and learn about why people recommend things.  You are a long ways off, and I do not want to recommend just going with someone else's build blindly.

Best of luck. :)

@Itz_Vision

The way I phrased my statement has not sat right since I wrote it.  I do not, in any way, want to discourage you from planning your new PC.  I do however, want to discourage you from buying impulsively... thinking:  "This will be fine.", and the buying something that does not perform well.

Do you mind if I ask how you came to your decisions in the original build?
