Battery life is horrendous. Performance is around Note 4 level. Display is awesome!

Covered the good. bad and the ugly!

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Performance is unfortunately not the Tab S2's strong point. This was an issue with the original Tab S as well, and in my view it's simply due to the fact that shipping the same SoC across your phones and tablets does not make for competitive products when your competitors are designing and implementing SoCs designed specifically for the size and thermal profile of a tablet.

Both CPU and GPU performance lags well behind the Nexus 9 and iPad Air 2, with both being about a year old now. It's just really not acceptable unless you're willing to undercut the competition on price, and Samsung has done no such thing, with the Tab S2 9.7" retailing for the same $499 price tag as the iPad Air 2.

Seems to be an OK tablet with quite a lot of compromises.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.

yeah it did seem concerned at the fact the battery is only like a little better than my note 3 by like 2000 MaH for twice to 3x the size

as already said, the battery will run out pretty quickly, especially with that (amazing) screen.

that being said tough, the thing is also pretty light, which makes it easy to hold for extended periods of time, and has a beautifull slim design.

it also comes with TouchWiz, something i personally do not like. tough that's all just personal prefference.

the Exynos 7420 chip and 3 gigs of RAM might have you wanting for more when doing some multitasking tough.

all things considered, i wouldn't buy this tablet myself. it looks awesome and has a amazing screen, but the rest of the hardware just isn't on par. especially for that price!

multitasking isn't really a thing it's more for facebook messenger, candy crush and video play back in bed mostly, nothing super dooper, i just wanted some that is more snappy than my ipad 2

I would never buy a Samsung tablet to be honest. My oldish one sucks. It's slow, has never gotten a single update in 2 years. They abandon everything they make less than a year later unless it's their flagship phone. I'd recommend something else, like a Nexus tablet. The battery life is horrendous on most anything that is made/touched by Samsung. This is just my opinion and experience though. YMMV

Gaming Rig - Excalibur - CPU: i5 6600k @ 4.1GHz, CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo, Mobo: MSI Gaming M3 RAM: 16GB Corsair @2400MHz, GPU: EVGA 1060, Case: NZXT Phantom Full Tower (Red)

My Virtualization Server - Dell R710: 2x X5570s @ 2.93GHz with 32GB DDR3 RAM [Web Server, OSX, Plex, Reverse Proxy]

I love computers, gaming, coding, and photography! Be sure to quote me so I can respond to your post!

I can't speak for the TV, I was mostly talking about Samsung's mobile line. I didn't know you were gonna run Cyanogen, in that case go for it. I think I forgot to read... lol

I'm only gonna put cyanogen in it, once I know my dad likes it, after that then I will. Bought it, but gonna test it, since amazon gives you a month to return it
