Hello LTT forum, I wanted to see if some of you could help me, my rig consists of

i5 4690k

R9 390 Sapphire

8g Kingston Fury Ram

MSI Krait Mobo

64-bit Win 10

I've had this issue for a couple of weeks where my games crash shortly after started (only those who are actually demanding, so not for League of Legends but it does for Tomb Raider/Bioshock Infinite), is this  happening to someone else? I'm fairly good at this kinda stuff but I can't seem to be able to fix this (already tried all the obvious fixes)

If there's any info, is it related to drivers? or maybe something about program compatibility? I'm at a loss here any help would be awesome

Thanks!

NINJA EDIT: I'd also like to note that this problem is just with some games, I've already played all of Borderlands 2, Grid Autosport and Portal 2 with no issues

Games are the best things to test your OC with as that will be what you will be doing with your GPU, not run benchmarks all day.  Benchmarks are just a quick and dirty test of a decently stable OC but the acid test will always be games cos they handle CPU/GPU resources differently so some parts get hit harder than others and may lead to instability.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.

Your OC is probably not actually stable. Synthetic benchmarks can't really test for everything, so the real world test is the ultimate standard for your OC. Try tuning back your OC a bit, and see if crashing persists.

I'm actually running my CPU and GPU at stock speeds, bought the i5 k version so I can OC when i can afford some better cooling, and since im not really in need for more performance from my gpu (I play at 1080p) then I still havent touched my stock speeds

I'm using a Corsair CS750M, and I don't have Aida64, would you recommend running some stress tests on my GPU/CPU to check for issues? if so any good free options?

Folding@home is actually useful, and it doubles as a stress testing program. But make sure to complete the projects given to you!
