anyone know of a website for finding a laptop

hammerslap1

im looking into buying a laptop and I was wondering if there was any website or something that would be like pcpartpicker where you can click in all the features you ant so you can look at what matches your criteria? problem is there is such a swift moving flow of makes and models and numbers and letters its almost impossible to keep track of whats what.... also any recommendations would be great.

laptop is for my sister who is in college and is taking some classes that need adobe creative cloud and accompanying stuff such as photoshop and things like that. budget is $1100-$1300 USD.

some items I know she wants is SSD, larger maybe ips panel, expandable ram, 2-3 usb3 ports, at least an hdmi out, decent battery life, possibly something that can drop into a dock. this sint going to be used for gaming but decent graphics on board is a must for her photo/video editing I believe.

corsair 600t, msi z87-g45, intel 4770k, 16g patriot viper low-pro ram, asus direct cu2 780, crucial 256gig ssd, seagate baracuda 1tb,

Maybe a Surface Pro 4?

Call me crazy but that can be a very considerable option.

Maybe ;)

I was thinking something dell also but don't wanna pass up other offerings from other companies that most likely would be better.. and I thought the surface pro 4 was more than 1300 bucks isn't it?

either way a surface 4 isn't a laptop... no flimsy type cover will for us hahah

I'm currently looking for a lappy myself - I've been eyeing up the Lenovo Y50. It has a decent IPS 1080p or 4K display - whichever you prefer but no SSD. Should set you back 1000$ so you can get a decent 512SSD for 250-300$

EDIT: Build quality is stellar though - full aluminum chassis, very neat keyboard (personal preference). GPU is an 860/960m - along the lines of a 750 Ti/950 - somewhere around there. HDMI port, USB ports, Kensington lock. Battery life is okay - about 2-4 hours watching movies/heavy browsing/text editing.

CPU is quite a good i7 4720/4710/4700HQ - your pick.

Just go to xoticpc.com. They resell laptops from other manufacturers and will let you filter by price, size, and what your needs are. Makes it a lot easier than having to look through multiple sites. They also allow you to customize it, but you don't have to and can just use it as a reference to buy from whatever laptop manufacturer you choose

the type cover itself is rigid, just obviously its not on a tight hinge since that part is fabric. It's an amazing laptop tho... i'm typing on one now :D

Are you on the surface pro 4? I'd give my left arm for that haha.
