I need a psu for this build

 - Modular

 - Compatible with cable mod red and black cables

 - Under 100 USD would be nice

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vdFWhM

Thanks guys, Payton

P.S. I like the build how it is

Before i see your build i have to tell you this. Don't cheap out on a PSU. You want to spend around $130-160 on a PSU usually for a single GPU

Looks like a Corsair RM850i ($160 USD) or Corsair RM850 ($130) would be just fine.

If you want the difference then ask.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Alright you like the build it is. Can you not spend the extra money on the 4690k since you are getting a Z97 board?

Also PSU, 650w EVGA GS OR G2

Any XFX or SeaSonic

Geez, i need to keep this under 900

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220gs0650v1

I was thinking that

Change the Z97 to H97. You'll  be fine and save a few bucks. By the way I've heard people say nasty things about EVGA's non G2 power supplies.

Save up. DOn't buy a cheap PSU! Unless you want to unleash satan in your house and have all hell break loose.

I was thinking that

You do not need to spend $130-$160 on a PSU. A 850w EVGA GS is $120 and is probably the best price-per dollar PSU. This one is golden, the EVGA GS is a OEM SeaSonic PSU

Stop spitting false information. The GS is just as good and in some cases BETTER then the EVGA G2. G2 is made by SuperFlower, GS is made by SeaSonic.

The EVGA B2, G2, GS, PS. T2, and P2 are very good power supplys.

Personally if you get the i5-4460, the upgrade to the 4690k would not be worth it.

OMG I hate hypocrites. You either have money and are looking for a way to not spend much or you need to to find your computer Build priorities..

Im getting the Z97 for 2 reasons

 - I can get a 4690k later on when i have more money

 - Its cheaper than the H97 board right now, so i can save money. (so i dont have to buy a new mobo and cpu to overclock)

No need to buy a 4690K later!

Your build is fine without it.

-snip-

Do you know anything about a power supply? Tell me, TELL ME ONE THING wrong about the EVGA GS? Because you can't, it is a fantastic power supply, especially for the money. It is a SeaSonic rebrand, which may I mention have some of the most reliable PSUs. So tell me, how is it bad? Would you rather reccodmend a Corsair RM series because it is more expensive? Or do you not know the Evga GS series is better than the Corsair RM series?

My build is fine now, but i can make it better later on with a 4690k and a new closed loop. I can overclock it and get more performance. Whats wrong with that?

Spending $250 US more for 2-5% better performance is absolutely crazy.

Lol, I'll have you know that the EVGA G2 can be afforded for $100. Great PSU but you can go cheaper. The EVGA GS (a G-series Seasonic rebrand) is less money (also what I use in my rig). Need cheaper? Antec HCG, EVGA B2, XFX anything... The list goes on.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
