Hello,

I have got this new amd r9 390, and i play alot of games like h1z1, arma 2 dayz mod and rocket league.

The thing is, that i heard i could max out every game with the 390, but on h1z1 (which is not hardest to run of recent games) i get like 40-50 fps when im in a city. Still great of course. And on arma 2 get like 50 fps with some big drops here and there. And on rocket league i get like 59-60 fps.

Now i know that it is not the best card, but shouldn't it be. Bit higher? Should i overclock?

And is this safe?

Thanks in advance

Btw my cpu is i5 4670

They are two very badly optimized games if you had 4x titan x in sli your won't get stable 60fps..

And with rocket league just turn off vsync

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

arma is optimization hell...

a friend of mine used to run arma at like... 50ish fps on a 4770k, when his mobo needed repairs he temporary ran an FX8350, the lags were hilareous xD

That is probably true, it seems like todays games are nearly always badly optimised.

key word "seems"

I've always found the games that people say need a supercomputer to run smoothly run fine..

Watchdogs and ac unity I had no issues with on a gtx 650

And games do come out great like GTA v and mad max

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

The developer teams on H1Z1 and ARMA 2 are small so don't expect much optimation there. Games that are more popular have a larger and more experienced developer team, so games like rocket league and call of duty have better framerates.

It's the sapphire nitro

I have that card, doesn't overclock much. Mine quit at 1100MHz. Even running 1110MHz produces artifacts. But I run Witcher 3 at ultra with it. "If" there's an issue I wouldn't suspect the card. What temps are you running?

If anyone asks you never saw me.

How do i check that?

Download HWmonitor or MSI afterburner. You will need something like afterburner to overclock, although you can also overclock through CCC. (catalyst control center) but I recommend Afterburner.

I use MSI Afterburner. Great overclocking software and provides GPU temps and usage in real time.

Great advice guys, ill update the temps later,

I keep getting suprised by this community man, its awesome!
