Sup guys, I need help to pick a new case for my PC. :) I've been considering a silent case but yee, the pads that are installed on the side panels and so on holds the heat inside the case better which will make the components warmer, that means the fans will run louder, so in the end its just as loud as a 'normal' case or am I wrong? Can you manage to get a good airflow so it gets cooler and quieter overall? (In a silent case)..

I've been considering the Silent Base series and the Define R-series. I want it to look clean and not be priced over 150. (It has to be an ATX-case)

So in the foam on the side panels, no heat is preserved. Silent cases are often warmer inside because of airflow restrictions. The fewer places for noise to exit the quieter. An R5 manages to have good airflow while being quiet if set up correctly.

Personally I would go for the Base 800 as that's my favorite case.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

The Fractal Design Define S is also worth a look. It's similar to the R5 but cheaper.
