I'm going to upgrade my gpu in the near future, probably going to be around black Friday for some better prices. I game at 1080p 60hz (might get a 144hz 1080p if I can find a good deal on one on black Friday). As of right now the price on all 3 cards are in the $320-350 range. I don't really have any preference on brand.

Thanks

The R9 390 does beat the 970 in some games in 1080p, so give it a go.

R9 390, the 780ti isn't that worth it anymore for $320 or so. 390 will give the most performance.

R9 390 for optimal performance (recommend buying from Sapphire, XFX, MSI or PowerColor. Thier aftermarket coolers are really good).

But your PSU might not be suited for running that card in that case get the GTX 970 (recommend EVGA, Asus, MSI, Gigabyte or Zotac).

Dont really find the 780ti being valuable unless you want a card with the "ti" in the end for that xxxmlgswag.

780 Ti is the moar powerful of those 3 but that 3GB VRAM and low tier DX12 support kinda gimp the card potential for some future games. I say get the 390.

So it sounds like the 780ti isn't really worth it anymore for the price. So between the r9 390 and gtx 970 which performs better @ 1080p? Also what about drivers, I always hear that and has pretty bad drivers

They have similar drivers these days, and those two cards trade blows at 1080p (and the 390 is better at higher resolutions). The thing is, the 390 has twice the vram, so there's not much reason to go with a 970. Sure, right now you don't really need >4GB vram, but you probably will in the near future.

Also, the 390 might perform a lot better in DX12 titles, but we're not sure yet.
