well you might wanna check your facts on render time, Im rendering a Cinema 4D file right now, 40 secs long, taking 30 minutes.

You might need an 5820k for this.

I say FX-8350(cheapest) Xeon(middle) or i7(i7 is best!) anything with 8 treads you can afford!

Go 5820K unless you need a crazy amount of PCI-E lanes.

Good for rendering and gaming? AMD? Nah.

 

Really though, AMD's best processor if you don't want a toaster PC (hot enough to toast bread,) is the FX-8350. I have it, and it's great for gaming/probably rendering, but I wouldn't recommend buying it these days.

This Xeon is basically an i7 with no iGPU, and it's locked. But, it costs the same as a i5 4690k.

 

 

 

i5's are NOT good for rendering, probably as good as the 8320.

Do you think the FX-8350 is good for rendering and stuff, and if so, how good? I'm moving up from a Opteron 2216 dual-core ;3 I've bought the FX-8350 and waiting for my other parts but I'm just curious how good it is at rendering and stuff just in case i want to get into stuff like that.

It's decent for rendering with its 8 cores, I've never done it, but you can look up online if you want to see.
