THe title says it all

I just previously realized how loud my Case fans are (I've checked my GPU and the fans were only at 20ish%). I didn't notice it while I have it in my room but when I do get it to more silent "place", the noise is so damn loud...Imagine a 747 toned down, that's how it sounds like

So I'd like to know what are the choices I have for Silent Fans, or... "Not-So-Loud-but-WOOOSH"..Idk, I'm writing this at 1:10AM Local Time, please pardon my randomness and my english at this time

Yes, YES, YISSSS, I know there are noctua fans...I'm just more interested with interacting with people regarding this topic to get the "Told-Experience-Thing"

welp, thanks.

Aaaaaand. I need both 140mm and 120mm... black coloured if possible....

if you don't mind a bit of orange the ltt edition noctuas sound like a viable option. corsair sp120/sp140 are pretty good (i have 2 on my hyper 212 and they work great ) swapable color rings on the SPs are pretty good as well,

Got an RC? head over to The Rc Thread and tell us about it, or you can just discuss rc in general there as well.

overly obsessed with 2 strokes and RCs

I saw some people says that the corsair sp-line isn't really that quite compared to other, but yeah.. I was looking to get them previously.

But still, I'd rather ask here first

Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pros are nice and quiet. Not as expensive as NF-F12s

EDIT: Having them set up properly makes a big difference. A fan controller or PWM is pretty much a must for a silence optimised system.

enlighten me more about these alien fan controller or PWM for me, kind sir

*bonus, I saw/read your Shirubā build, and there's one thing that interest me

who's iSaeko that is written on top of the Titan X (I don't own one so I'd like to know)

Fan controllers can let you manually adjust the speed of the fans, so you can have them running very slow or off at idle, then you turn them up for intensive tasks. Some fan controlling units come with software that allow you to create fan curves, which means the fans adjust on their own, based on things like CPU load, CPU heat and so on, depending how you set it up. Finally, PWM is basically a way to let the system control the fans on its own. It will ramp them up when there's a heavy load on the system, and slow them down when at idle. It's similar to fan curves in a way, but you have less control and it's normally a less gradual change in speed, so you hear when the fans speed up a bit more.

Do I kind of like "attach" it to the motherboard or something?

The controllers normally need molex power, then connect the fans to them. They don't attach to the board in most cases.

Software controllers will normally need to connect to the board through a USB header.

PWM are just fans with 4 Pins that connect to the motherboard's 4 pin, PWM fan headers (provided it has them.)
