Hello, I am going to be getting a powerline adapter soon because my WiFi is horrible. I have 3 questions though.

1.) Will I get better speeds when I am on powerline vs WiFi? (Right now I am getting 600 KB/S) :(

2.) Is their a difference between these two and which one is better? Also, if you have any recommendations in the $40 price range feel free to suggest them.

3.) I want to be able to do wake on LAN but since I am on WiFi right now I can't. With poweline since its Ethernet cable will I be able to do wake on LAN

Thanks so much.

1) If you're currently far away from your wireless source and your promised internet speeds are better than 600kbs then yes. Else, no.

2) Go for the TP-Link one.

3) Not sure what you mean with wake on LAN.

Thank you and just curious, why do you say the TP-Link one over the Trendnet one?

Also, I mean like turning the computer on remotely from like Teamviewer.

I have a TP link one myself and I'm really happy about it, way better than the cheap brand I had before that. (Also, a tip, try to plug the powerline adapters right into a plug and not a box with multiple plugs.)

Thanks for the info!

should mention..powerline adapters only work well on modern copper wiring

if you like in a place with old bad wiring..it might be slow or not work at all

only way to really tell is to actually test it

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile
