I'd love to see a Battlefield style, modern game, with the Battle of Coruscant (Eg: Opening scene, Episode 3), with Dozens or Hundreds of Capital Ships, and thousands of Fighters, plus troops on the ground, etc.

This would be awesome, with the ability to fly with ships into coruscant airspace and have battles on coruscant aswell, with a shitload of players on both teams... Though this would have to be a PC exclusive, to do this on consoles the graphics would have to be tuned down SOOOO badly :P

Basically I want Planetside 2 mixed with Freespace 2 (Or Star Citizen, but it's not finished yet lol).

Massive ground battles, taking place over a large, multi KM sized map, with vast avenues, skyscrapers, tunnels, etc. Then, you hop into an X-Wing that's in a hanger at the Imperial Palace, and you can literally fly up the atmosphere, into space, and the game seemlessly brings you into the space battle, Freespace 2 style, with huge (to scale) Battleships and Destroyers (Venator, Imperiator I's, whatever) unleashing full firepower (I'm so fucking sick of Star Wars games having a Imperial II Star Destroyer have like, 6 fucking Turbolasers on it), etc.

For the record, an Imperial II Star Destroyer has 50 Heavy Turbolasers, 50 Standard Turbolasers, and 8 Octuple (8-barrelled) Turbolasers, plus numerous Ion Cannons and some smaller Point Defense weapons (Though, the lack of effective Anti-Fighter point defense weapons was a noted weakness of most Imperial Capital Ships).

The only game that I've ever seen do realistic firepower for Star Destroyers were the Homeworld/Homeworld 2 Star Wars mods.

Also, OP , it's not the game devs who are milking us.

It's the publisher.

thank you for bringing this up.  far too often i hear people complaining about the developers being greedy bastards. when in reality its the publisher

How do Reavers clean their spears?

but still it's far better than what PS3/Xbox 360 offers and yet Black Ops III will be running at a stable 30fps yet i was not even able to run Advanced Warfare even in 720p medium. The game used to fine on low settings though. I run GTA V with around 25-35fps at 1080p low even with FXAA on.

thats no way to gta

Well in some cases, there is overlap, but yes, usually the Publisher has final say with these business decisions, and can override what the developers want.
