Yes it will fit.

Hey there fellow Linus Media Group followers!

I am currently building a white and blue themed PC and I was wondering if the Phanteks PH-F140HP fan will fit in the white Fractal Design R5 case. I am planning to put 5 of the these fans in this case if they will fit.

Well if you bothered to even do a tiny bit of research. You could of gone to Fractal's website and looked at the case specifications.

Cooling system

  • Front: 2 – 120/140 mm fans (included is 1 Fractal Design Dynamic GP14 fan, 1000 RPM speed)
  • Rear: 1 – 120/140 mm fan (included is 1 Fractal Design Dynamic GP14 fan, 1000 RPM speed)
  • Top: 3 - 120/140 mm fan (not included)
  • Bottom: 2 – 120/140 mm fan (not included)
  • Side: 1 – 120/140 mm fan (not included)
  • Fan controller: 3 step fan controller for up to 3 fans
  • Dust filters: Bottom and front intakes

Took all of 2 seconds.

Yes I did see that however I wasn't quite sure on if the fan would fit into the case because of how the fan is designed.

No matter the design if it's the same size it will fit. Fans typically have the same thickness. Some are much thinner however, but that's only when you're looking into low profile coolers + fans. You shouldn't need to worry about any of this with any case unless it's a thin case or tiny case or you're running some super thick radiators.
