You couldn't because it's true.

It's pretty well known this forum has a huge Nvidia bias.

We shouldn't get into that though.

I'd say this forum is AMD biased when it comes to GPUs. Go into any topic about someone looking to buy a 960 or 970, even a 980 sometimes and most of the replies are saying to go with AMD's 300 series. The 970 has a good chance of overclocking past the performance of a 390, so it really is personal taste. But pushing the 300's still happens.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Its ridiculous. Same thing goes for Intel bias. They think Zen won't be able to deliver on its 40% IPC improvement despite the fact that the changes they're gonna be implementing will most certainly boost performance.

It's really funny how someone with a preference with AMD can get shut down and basically raped with "teh intels master raec!!1111!111!!!!11!111!1!111!"

If you're gonna be doing some productivity, then the 8320 whips the i3's ass

anyways, back on topic: You can't say that PC users don't sling stupid shit at console users, too.

But consoles deserve it LOL. Imagine if Alienware computers only ran Alienware software, and could only use Alienware's multiplayer servers? Consoles are prebuilt computers that only run the software allowed by the manufacturer. That's why we pick on them, it has nothing to do with performance.

We can say the same for Steam.

We can say the same for Steam.

How? I use my steam account on multiple PCs and even my phone. I can play any game I purchase from steam on any of those devices once downloaded onto it off line if I want, except those the developer programmed to require an Internet connection. Having a Steam account doesn't stop me from using other software.

I've been waging war against fanboys for years now. More often than not, their only sound logic, comes from a bad experience they had with one brand, that leads them to trash talk it, while praising a brand that has worked for them. The problem is, they fail to understand how fast technology changes, or how more often than not, it can all depend on luck of the draw.

Someone gets a DOA card from Gigabyte, then anytime someone asks about Gigabyte, that person is the first to crucify them. All because of a bad experience. The same goes for Nvidia vs AMD. Someone can have a bad experience with one or the other, and become jaded towards one or the other.

I can even attest to this to some personal degree. My first GPU was an old GeForce 2 series GPU, and i remember moving to ATI once PCIE came out. I had bad problems with the drivers, and even in some of my recent (2010-2013) laptops, i still had trouble with CCC. This made me cautious when purchasing AMD/ATI cards, and even got in the way of GPU consideration, even if the AMD/ATI card offered more raw performance.

Now, AMD has made huge strides when it comes to their drivers, and every issue i had has been fixed. It's an overall great experience (unless you use Linux, then good luck). Yet those same people that became jaded years ago, refuse to acknowledge that fact, or to even test it for themselves.

That is the only semi-logical reason that fanboys use these days. Though, like i said, it's only logical if the problem still persists, which it really does not. DOA's happen. If the company's CS was rude to you? Yeah, feel free to use another manufacturer. It's not the vendors fault if a manufacturer has a problem. Then again, most fanboys are not rational.

The only sane consumers are those who try to get the most out of their dollar, regardless of brand. All others are doomed to make terrible purchasing decisions.

Yeah.

AMD really fixed their shit with the Catalyst Omega drivers, and even if CCC needs some more fine tuning, the drivers function well.

Nvidia on the other hand has been fucking up as of recent, because they know they can afford to fuck up.

I can admit to being a bit fanboyish but I never try to steer someone away from another company just because they're a shitty company. I steer them away because the product(s) are mediocre (Asus and their Strix cards especially) or not good (Intel Pentium G3258, AMD FX-8350 and up)

Earlier it was really Nvidia biased. I haven't been spending much time here lately, so I wouldn't really know what it's like now.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

The longer you are on the internet the more you realise that most of what you read is wrong. The average forum poster in general often comments completely wrongly about things they clearly don't know much about. They mislead people all the time and no one else corrects them. Fanboism is just one small part of the disease of ignorance and the lack of self awareness people have about it.
