I preordered http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-4-1tb-call-of-duty-black-ops-iii-limited-edition-bundle-jet-black/4512800.p?id=1219756878159 and I was wondering if it was as the newest version. I heard there was a newer ps4 version that ran 25% cooler. Any suggestions on if i should buy a different ps4. (I'm not buying battlefront because it did not like the beta)

Its a newer limited edition, it probably is, but either way PS4's wont get too hot :)

PS4s don't run hot if appropriate cooling is available, and the noise won't bother

Don't worry, and as mentioned by Hydra you need the serial to check and yes 1TB = newer

All (stock) 1TB variants are the new model, you can check after you get it by looking at the model number at the back.

I bought the destiny limited console, the newer ps4, ran hotter and was louder than my original ps4, console had issues so I returned it for a black one, works better than my original ps4

If it has physical buttons, it's a new model. Old models have capacitive buttons. Also, if it's not a limited edition it should have an all matte top. Old models' HDD covers I think were gloss. Some of the limited models still have gloss though. My Destiny: The Taken King Limited Edition, the entire top is gloss. Not just one part.

The one you linked is a new model though. All the limited editions that just came out in the last month or 2 I'm pretty sure all are new models. Like mine for example.
