How do you know it is the best though.... Do you have one? 

Benches - Nitro runs around 70*C whereas TwinFrozr V at around 73-74*C

980Ti is good I heard

Yeah, I heard it's like much more efficient to get that, but it's probably just hearsay.

It may be more efficient, but it isn't as powerful as CF 390s.

 

If you're going to recommend a completely different product at least explain why and at the very least answer the OP's original question.

Sapphire Nitro cooler is the best 390 cooler.

Honestly I don't know since I don't actually have first hand experience with either card(s), I just know MSI overall makes fantastic GPU coolers and Sapphire is often regarded as the king of AMD cards. Whatever you choose, I don't think you can go wrong.

Sapphire Nitro cooler is the best 390 cooler.

Indeed the nitro is a much bigger cooler and preforms better in that context (3-5C), that said, the MSI models have consistently shown to be the best overclockers in this iteration for amd.

 

So best cooling ----> Sapphire

Indeed the nitro is a much bigger cooler and preforms better in that context (3-5C), that said, the MSI models have consistently shown to be the best overclockers in this iteration for amd.

 

So best cooling ----> Sapphire

 

Highest preformance ----> MSI

See, I asked between those two because i know MSI's got the best performing 390 on average and the Nitro on average would not OC as far.

But i don't think i should expect too much of a performance gain even with the MSI's considering i'd be CF and should prioritize temps.

Both perfectly valid points. It's a tough balance. MSI doesn't have bad cooling overall, it's just not Nitro level. In the end, I'd grab the two that you think look best honestly.

Was that so hard to explain? But a single 980 Ti* is quite a bit slower than 390 CF - CF scales better than SLI
