Hello fellow forum members today i got a question for you, as i think there is something wrong with my Nepton 240M because my idle temps with a completely stock 4690k are around 35C and my load temps (result after 10 minuties of aida64 stress test) with Turbo boost @3.9GHz are around 57-58C is there something wrong with the coller? or are these temps normal? because i wanna get into O.C'in and i want to achive at least 4.2-4.4GHz on this 4690k. If my temps are not normal what should i do? first thing i will do will be to reapply thermalpaste but what if that doesnt help? (i already checked the screws they are pretty tight)

NOTE:the fans are set to exhaust and my case is a AIR540 with MAX. amount of fans installed

Are you running automatic voltage? If so, please report back what voltage it is running at when running AIDA64. My 4790k took 1.286V and ran 90C when I first got it, I overclocked it and downvolted it, now running 85C with 4.6GHZ

Also, 58C is perfectly safe, it mostly depends on what voltage you are running it.

CPU: I7 4790K(4.6@1.252v)                               Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Windowed(Black)           Cooler: CM 212 EVO + NF F12 iPPC

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

MoBo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger                      Graphics: MSI GTX 970 TwinFrozr (1494MHZ Core)       OS: Windows 10 Enterprise

If there was a problem with the nepton, you'd be seeing closer to 90 C idle. 50C just means it's decently hot.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

Microsoft Apple Valve Google Facebook Oculus HTC AMD Intel Nvidia

I'm using this data to judge this site's biases so people can post in a more objective way.
