Witcher 3 help

Hi guys, 

 

I just finally started the Witcher 3 .

I was wondering about the openness and speed of the game. There are some sidequests which advise a certain level (I'm only 2 now) and I was wondering if parts of the world are inaccesible once you have come to a certain point in the main storyline like in the witcher 2.

 

So if I start talking to people about Yennefer now and follow the story line, will I still be able to do the sidequests in the Ransacked Village and Woesong Bridge etc later on?

You will have access to most things until the end. There are a few side-quests that go away because of events in the main quest messing them up, but very few. There are guides that tell you which those are so you can make sure and do them.

 

There's another thing, though. When I played it a few months ago, you didn't get XP for quests that were recommended for 4 levels or more below what you are. So that would be something to consider if you're going for an XP maximization run. There was talk that they might patch that out, but I'm not sure what happened. My next playthrough is still a few months away

There is a point in the game where if you haven't completed certain side quests, they will become unavailable. However, the game makes it a point to pause and tell you this (and give you the option to turn back). This happens around a certain story event, so I won't spoil it by elaborating.

No, some things aren't accesible at the very start. Now I can't remember the name, but those islands which you reach at rank 30-40, those for example aren't accesible at the start. Now I played the game a long time ago so I may not remember it correctly or some patch changed that

At some Point you dont care about older sidequests anymore . You will be too powerfull, you wont need the rewards anymore and you will get almost no exp. Just move forward. There are so many things to do, that you will lose interest in the Game bevore finish them all.
